Eva Marlene Thompson

Eva Marlene Thompson, 92, formerly of 12 South 4th Street, Bradford, passed away Wednesday, May 15, 2024, at Chapel Ridge.

Born November 30, 1931, in Crosby, she was a daughter of the late Orlin and Jennie (Huff) McClenahan. She was a 1950 graduate of Otto Eldred High School.

On June 2, 1953, in the Derrick City United Methodist Church, she married Robert L. Thompson, who preceded her in death on September 4, 2005. Mrs. Thompson was employed for many years as a cafeteria worker in the Bradford Area School District.

She was a member of Hill Memorial United Methodist Church, Community Outreach, 50 Plus Group, and the Bradford Ecumenical Home Auxiliary. When her daughters were young, she was a Leader for Girl Scouts.

Surviving is one daughter, Marsha (Jim) Shannon, of Bradford, one son-in-law Bill (the late Cindy) Minich, of Bradford, three grandchildren, Kevin (Meghan) Minich, Jennie (Kevin) Miller, and Bill (Krystal) Minich, four great- grandchildren, Calvin Minich, Sammi Minich, Beatrice Miller, and Everett Miller and two nephews, and two nieces.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Bob of 52 years, one daughter Cindy Minich, who died August 3, 2021, an infant daughter Terry Thompson, two sisters, Edna Williams, and Donna Houben, a nephew, Barry Houben and a niece, Jane Williams.

At her request, private funeral services will be held for the family in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc. South Ave., with Rev. Jay Tennies, Pastor of the Hill Memorial United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in McKean Memorial Park.

Memorial contributions, if desired, may be made to the Hill Memorial United Methodist Church 44 Kennedy Street Bradford, PA 16701 or Chapel Ridge Activities Fund, 200 St. Francis Drive, Bradford, PA 16701.
