C. Louise McLaughlin

C. Louise McLaughlin, 89, of Custer City, passed away Wednesday, October 2, 2024, at the Bradford Regional Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family.

Born December 31, 1934, in Bradford, she was a daughter of the late Hugh and Esther L. (Wolfgang) Coy. She was a 1952 graduate of Bradford Area High School.

On September 23, 1978 in Limestone NY, she married Patrick H. McLaughlin who preceded her in death on November 25, 2017.

Louise had been employed at McCourt Label for over 20 years until her retirement on January 1, 1999.  

She loved gambling and bingo, chatting with people on facebook.  She loved playing music and singing and feeding the birds and gardening.

She was a member of the Eagles Auxiliary. 

Surviving is one son, John (Deb) Silvis, of Bradford, two step daughters, Terri (Shawn) Clancy and Tammy Church, both of Eldred, eight grandchildren, Stacy (Brent) Gallagher, Thomas (Elly) Smith, Laura (Carl) Pope, Terry Sorensen, Chelsea Church, Chad Church, Kasi Pearce, Cole Clancy, 13 great grandchildren, and eight great great grandchildren, and one on the way, and several nieces and nephews.

Louise was preceded in death by her parents, husband Pat of 40 years, one daughter, Linda Rakocy,one son Roger Silvis, and seven of her siblings.

Friends will be invited to a Celebration of Life on Tuesday, December 31, 2024, from 4:00 to 7:00 pm, at the Bradford Eagles Club. Burial will be in St. Bernard Cemetery.
