Thomas M. “Tom” Pedine, 71, of Murfreesboro, TN, formerly of Lewis Run, passed away Sunday, September 29, 2024, at his home.
Born August 21, 1953, in Bradford, he was the son of Shirley Ann Vinca Pedine, who survives and the late Julio Joseph Pedine. Tom was a 1971 graduate of Bradford Central Christian High School. He attended the University of Notre Dame, and then immediately began his lifelong, successful career in business before retiring as the Business Unit Manager for the Tennessee Region at RockTenn.
Tom was known for his love of Notre Dame football, who beat Louisville the night before he passed, bringing him great joy, his love for his family, and his charming, yet unique humor. He lit up a room with his stories and had a magnetic personality. He was very loved and adored by his three children, Allison, Kaylan, and Jeff and his seven grandchildren, who affectionately called him “Papa.”
Tom’s love for sports and athleticism carried into parenthood as he took great pride coaching his kids and attending recitals. He found the special moments and the quiet whispers in life and ensured that those around him felt seen and loved. Tom also took great pleasure in serving those in need, especially in his own community. He was a devout Catholic and took great pride in his service to the church. He shared his big heart and his wisdom with those he cared deeply, and his children note that he “ended on a good one.”
