Richard Patchen

Richard L. Patchen, 86, of 115 Parkside Drive Limestone, NY, passed away Saturday, November 16, 2024, at UPMC Hamot in Erie.

Born on February 10, 1938, in Bradford, he was a son of the late Leslie B. and Helen M. (Hughes) Patchen. He graduated from Bradford High School in 1956.

On April 23, 1960, in Limestone, NY, he married Mary "Mickey" A. (Clark) Patchen, who survives.

On September 7, 1960, he enlisted in the United States Army and served until his honorable discharge on August 21, 1963.

Richard worked at Dresser Manufacturing, Allegany Electronics, Corning and he worked at RW Torrey Contracting for 40 years. He was a member of the Limestone American Legion and the Southern Tier Power Squadron.

Surviving is his wife Mickey of 64 years, and special nephews Kelley Clark, and Andy Cullen, special nieces Karla Rounsville, Regina Stapleton, Kim Harrington, Kayann Cervola, and Deb Clark, and several more nieces and nephews

He was preceded in death by his parents, two nephews, Kevin P. Clark and Michael Cullen and his infant brother Charles Patchen and may aunts and uncles.

Friends will be received on Friday, November 22, 2024, from Noon to 1:30 pm in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc. 372 East Main St., where at 1:30 pm, funeral services will be held with Rev. Eric Kessel, Pastor, of Farmersville Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in St. Patrick Cemetery in Limestone where military honors will be accorded with the United States Army and Limestone American Legion Post 1560 honor guards.

Memorial contributions if desired may be made to the McKean County SPCA, PO Box 113 Bradford, PA 16701 or the Limestone Volunteer Fire Department.
