David Hodgson, 85, of Bradford, passed away July 13, 2025, at The Pavilion at BRMC.
Born May 24, 1940, in Bradford, he was a son of the late Bernard and Margaret (Myers)Hodgson. He attended Limestone Area School.
On March 18, 1959 he joined the United States Army until his honorable discharge on February 28, 1961.
Dave worked for the Bradford Area Water Authority.
He loved classic cars, going to car shows and was a former member of the Street Dreams Club. His was proudest of his 1967 Dodge Dart. He enjoyed watching NASCAR and the "cowboy" channel, he loved his dogs, going camping and traveling to Kissimee, FL for the winters with his wife for the past 25 years. He attended Sawyer Evangelical Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Diana (Larry) Combs, of Limestone, NY, and Barbara (Tim) Fox, of Bradford, one son, Michael (Lisa) Hodgson, of Bradford, one brother, Carl (Judy) Hodgson, of Lakeland, FL, seven grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife Jean of 58 years he was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Mark Hodgson, and two great grandchildren, Peyton M. Kirk, and Angel Hardy.
Family will receive friends on Friday, July 18, 2025, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc., 372 East Main Street, where funeral and committal services will be held at 1:00 pm with Pastor Homer Williams of the Sawyer Evangelical Church officiating. Burial will be in Limestone Cemetery.
