Eris L. Hogue, formerly of Bradford and Bradenton, FL, passed away, Monday March 2, 2026, while at her daughters home in Seneca where she had resided the last couple of years.
Born in Bradford, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Eve (Daubenspeck) Latham. She was a 1941 graduate of Bradford High School.
On January 11, 1942, in Allegany, NY, she married Kenneth W. Hogue who died May 30, 2007.
For 28 years she worked at Corning Glass as an expediter.
Eris formerly attended the Derrick City United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Starlite Bowling League, a member of Bradford Women of the Moose and a member of the Red Hat Society. She had also been a Girl Scout Leader.
Surviving are three sons, Kenneth C. (Lynn) Hogue, Gregory L. (the late Deborah) Hogue and Jeffrey A. Hogue all of Bradford, one daughter, Karen L. (the late Sam) Smith of Seneca, nine grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Ken, three sisters, Jean Stiable, Josephine Latham and Erla D. Whitehill and one grandson, Todd M. Hogue.
Friends will be received on Friday, March 6, 2026, from noon to 1:00 pm in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, 33 South Avenue where funeral and committal services will be held at 1:00 pm, with Fr. John Jacquel, Pastor of St. Bernard Church, officiating. Burial will be in McKean Memorial Park Cemetery.
Memorials if desired may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
