George T. Lindy, 93, of South Ave., Bradford, passed away on Thursday, August 20, 2026, at UPMC Kane.
Born on October 31, 1932, in Reynoldsville, he was a son of the late Calvin Monroe and Pauline (Wylam) Lindy.
George attended Bradford schools and at the age of 16 joined the United States Army. He served in Company K 112th Infantry of the 28th Division. He was honorably discharged on September 20, 1954.
On April 30, 1988, in Limestone, NY, he married Sandra G. (Eakin) Lindy, who survives.
After being discharged, he was employed at Seasonal Supply and National Fuel. He later was employed as a truck driver for Upstate Milk Cooperative.
He was a lifetime member of the VFW Post 212, the American Legion Post 108, Masonic Lodge #749 F&AM, and was a member and Past Monarch of the Orak Gratto.
Surviving in addition to his wife Sandy of 38 years are his children, Georg Anne Lindy, of Frewsburg, NY, Judy (Ed Yohe) Keyes, of Bradford, Joan Lindy, of Bradford, Jean Eriksen, of Frewsburg, NY, David (Viki) Campbell, of Milton, Barb (Harold) Reynolds, of Eldred, Dean (Tiffany) Campbell, of Bradford, Dennis (Kelly) Campbell, of Duke Center, 17 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
George was preceded in death by his parents, one sister Mary E. Crattie, one great granddaughter, Aislin K. Perry.
At the family’s request, there will be no public service held.
