Ardelle "Dell" Conroy, 80, of Bradford, passed away Wednesday, September 30, 2026, at the Bradford Ecumenical Home. 

Ardelle was born and raised in Warren, she was a daughter of Leon Lauffenberger and Nora Osborne Merchant. She was a graduate of Warren High School.

Dell resided in Stoneham, for many years before moving to Bradford in the early 2000s. Early in her career, she worked as a buyer for Levinson Brothers Department Store in Warren, where she often traveled to New York City to purchase women's fashions. She later served as office manager for many years at the Light Bulb Factory in Stoneham. After moving to Bradford, she worked as a prep cook at the Lighthouse Restaurant until her retirement. 

Following retirement, Dell volunteered at Bradford Hospital, where she especially enjoyed greeting people at the door. She was known for her outgoing personality, warm nature, and sharp wit. 

Dell loved to travel, especially trips to Florida with her husband, Lewis. She also enjoyed fishing and had a special place in her heart for cats. She loved all of them-her indoor cats, outdoor cats, and even stray cats that found their way into her life. 

She is survived by her two daughters, Malinda "Lynn" Jones and her husband, Thomas, of Clarendon, Pennsylvania, and Rochelle "Sissy" Saporito and her husband, Mark, of Bradford, Pennsylvania; four grandchildren, Bill Arnold, Sara Frankson, Thomas Jones Jr., and James Jones, two step grandchildren, Mark Saporito Jr., and Alicia Saporito, five great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. 

In addition to her parents, Dell was preceded in death by her first husband, Terry Reist; her second husband, Lewis Conroy; two sisters, Nancy Payne, and Leonnette Winkels, one brother, Hugh Lauffenberger, one stepson, C.J. Conroy; one niece and one nephew. 

Dell will be remembered by her family and friends for her lively personality, quick wit, generous heart, love of animals, and the many lives she touched throughout her years.

Family will receive friends on Monday October  5, 2026 from 10 am to noon in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc. 33 South Avenue, at Noon funeral services will be held with Rev. Max Simms, Pastor of the Hilltop Baptist Church officiating. Committal services will follow at 2 pm in Warren County Memorial Park Cemetery.
