Leland "Bud" Case

Leland W. "Bud" Case, 81, a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather and brother, of Big Shanty Road, Lewis Run, passed away Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at his residence, surrounded by his loving children.

Born June 22, 1933 in Bradford he was a son of John and Viola (Buchanan) Case. He was a 1952 graduate of Bradford High School.

On August 15, 1953 at the First Free Methodist Church in Allegany, he married Elaine Y. (Yale) Case, who died on February 27, 2011.

He was employed at Owens Illinois for over 40 years. He was a member of First Free Methodist Church.

Bud enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, gardening and woodworking.

Surviving are four daughters, Kathleen Cotton, of Warren, Judith (Al) Scott, of Lewis Run, Brenda (Garry) Akers, of Lewis Run, and Joyce (James Chapman) Brooks, of Marshburg, two sons James (Cara) Case, of Bradford, and Dennis (Jennifer) Case, of Rew, 21 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, four sisters, Norma Jean Bretherton, Myda Poole, Thelma Morris, and Gertrude Hannon, and one brother Donald Case.

Friends will be received on Thursday June 26, 2014 from 3 to 5 & 7 to 9pm in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc. 33 South Ave., where funeral and committal services will be held on Friday, June 27, 2014 at 11:00am with Rev. Glenn Hamilton Pastor Emeritus of the Lighthouse Community Free Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in McKean Memorial Park.

Memorials, if desired, may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
