Mary Lou Cauley

Mary Lou Cauley, 82, a loving mother and grandmother, of the Riley Road Apartments, passed away Monday, July 7, 2014, surrounded by her loving family, at the Bradford Regional Medical Center.

 
Born in Punxsutawney, on September 9, 1931, she was a daughter of the late Sheriden and Helen (Daugherty) Henretty. Raised in Bradford, she was a 1949 graduate of St. Bernard High School and a 1953 graduate of Bradford Hospital School of Nursing.
 
On February 13, 1954 at St. Francis Church she married William F. "Bill" Cauley, who died on September 4, 1999.
 
She was a member of St. Bernard Church, a former member of the Catholic Women's Club, and the Smethport Country Club.
 
She was employed as a Registered Nurse at Bradford Regional Medical Center for 39 1/2 years retiring in 1993.
 
Mary Lou enjoyed playing golf, bowling and bridge.
 
Surviving are three daughters, Mary Anne Stauffer, of Bradford, Margaret "Peggy" Christie, of Erie, and Jacqueline Bosworth, of Bradford, three sons Michael Cauley, of Bradford, Mark Cauley, of McKinney, TX, and David Cauley, of Erie, one sister, Margaret Hickok of Olean, she is also survived by 9 grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
 
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one sister, Jeanne Henretty,  four brothers, Robert, Fred, James, and Bill Henretty.
 
Friends will be received on Wednesday, July 9, 2014, from 1:00pm to 2:00pm in St. Bernard Church at which time a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00pm with Rev. Raymond Gramata, pastor, as celebrant. Committal services and burial will be in St. Bernard Cemetery.  Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc.
 
Memorials, if desired, may be made to St. Bernard Church, 98 East Corydon St., Bradford, PA  16701 or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis TN, 38105 or a charity of the donor's choice.
