All Condolences -

To Annie's family, How blessed we all are at LBCC that in April of 2012 beautiful Annie came to live with us.Annie Bates will be one of the most faithful Christian people that I have ever known. The first day that I worked on the 2nd floor, I was asked to go meet a new resident, Anne Bates. A true lady with a love for the Lord and a sweet sense of humor with a willingness to attend and try out activities. She is not only a great example of dedication to God but she also reminded me of my own grandmother who passed in 1993. We talked about children and our family lives and Annie like me had lost a child-a heartache that never leaves a parent.Occasionally I would read to her from her Bible-with each chapter tab marked-loved that Bible as I didnt always remember where all the chapters began without the index!God again blessed us when Betty came to be her roommate and you couldnt have asked for a happier, sweeter pair of ladies-they were the best roommates! My husband came to visit a couple of times and said that Annie and Betty were his favorite residents. Last December the cheerleaders from a local high school came to give out poinsettias and little teddy bears to the residents. Of course they loved Anne and Betty as we all do, but something beautiful happened. Anne witnessed to them about the Lord...at 99 years of age!I wish that you could have seen it-and a couple of the girls mentioned that they too believed-it was wonderful! Anne lived her life for Jesus and what a wonderful role model and Christian example she will always be as always also my friend.During her last couple of weeks of life on this earth a couple of times when she was fed I sang hymns to her while she ate. Anne knew us up until she passed and acknowledged the hymns and even tried to say a few words. I will as all of us at LBCC miss our sweet Annie, I love her and will never forget her and know that she is rejoicing with the Lord, her husband, her two sons, and her two parents. Thank you God for Anne and for bringing her to all of us. Blessings , love and peace to all of us.

My Aunt Annie, was a great lady she was my original babysitter as a child, along with Uncle Bill & her sons. She lived a long life filled with family and faith and many struggles, but she lived it all through grace. I for one, will find it strange for her not to share this earthly, living space any longer with me because she has always been in my life. I will definitely miss her.
