Marjorie R. Arnett
Marjorie R. Arnett, 64, of 21 Rochester St., passed away Saturday, November 1, 2014 at Olean General Hospital in Olean, NY.
Born June 20, 1950 in Kane, she was a daughter of the late Herbert W. and Doris Ruth (Erickson) Johnson.
On May 29, 1999 in Grace Lutheran Church, she married David E. Arnett, who passed away August 22, 2010.
She attended Smethport Schools. In 1975 she began working for Futures Rehabilitation Center where she continued her service for 39 years until the time of her death.
She attended Asbury United Methodist Church.
She was an active participant in McKean County Special Olympic Bowling and also was a cheerleader for various Special Olympic Events.
She loved traveling, shopping, watching TV Land, playing bingo, visiting the Seneca Allegany Casino and spending time with her family.
She is survived by two sisters, Marcia L. (the late Chuck) Johnson, of Savannah, GA and Marilyn (Jack) Rosenswie, of Smethport; five nephews, Kurt Johnson, Kyle Johnson, Alejandro Ceva, Edward Himes and Jack Studdard; five nieces, Kristin Ceva, Erika Studdard, Elise Rosenswie, Riley Johnson and Sofia Ceva; several cousins and special caregivers, Michael and Lisa McLaughlin, with whom she resided for the past five years.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Friends are invited to call from 12-2 PM, Tuesday, November 4, 2014 in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc., South Ave., where funeral and committal services will be held at 2 PM with Rev. Matt Blake, pastor of The Bradford Area Parish, officiating. Burial will be in McKean Memorial Park.
