All Condolences -

I knew Betty because she and I attended the First Baptist Church. Betty was a wonderful lady, and I will miss her! I am so sorry for your loss. I'll be praying for you. May God give you strength, comfort, and peace in the days ahead.

Betty has been a part of my church family since I started attending in the late 80's. She was always active in activities and services. For many years along with Dick, they managed floral arrangements and had an eye for making everything look pretty in the sanctuary. She was so talented with knitting and sewing. She gave us beautiful white baby afghans for both our daughters. We used them in their dedication services and have stored them for our children's children. She was a blessing to all around her. Will miss this very lovely lady! Our family is unable to attend the service, as we are all working or at school. God bless you all as you mourn the loss of this family matriarch.

Betty was a neighbor of ours as we live on the other side of Jennie Young's residence. I'm sorry to say that my husband and I were not acquainted with Betty but we often marveled at the fact that, at her age, she would mow her grass on a riding lawn mower. Certainly a model of a woman with determination. Our children (now grown) speak of how nice she was to them and she would allow them to pick berries in the back of her yard. Our sincerest condolences to her family.

Miss Betty was a fun-loving and extremely talented friend. We loved sharing the joy of creativity together.

Betty Johnson was a wonderful friend to me for over 50 years. She was a hard worker, faithful Christian, loving mother, dedicated wife, talented craft person and had a lovely sense of humor. She was so proud of her daughters, grands and great grandchildren. She maintained an active independent life in Gifford for many years after her husband died. She had a smile and kind word for everyone. I will never forget her.
