Joseph G. Gigliotti Jr.

Joseph G. Gigliotti Jr., 85, of 23 Forest Hill Drive, Bradford, passed away, Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at Bradford Regional Medical Center. Born February 10, 1929 in Bradford, he was a son of the late Joseph G. and Elizabeth (Falsatta) Gigliotti Sr. He was a 1949 graduate of Bradford High School, and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. On September 16, 1950 in Bradford, he married Mary Jane (Tsepelis) Gigliotti who survives. He was a member of St. Bernard Church, and Bradford Township Lions Club. Joe began his career with the Bradford Redevelopment and Housing Authority, he then went to the McKean County Redevelopment and Housing Authority. One of his proud accomplishments was supervising the Hamlin Lake project. He was later employed as a manager for Hysen Supply, and retired as owner and operator of Gigliotti Rental and Supply Company. Surviving in addition to his wife of 64 years, Mary Jane, are two daughters, Susan M. (David) Lerch, of Smethport, and Mary Jo (Glenn) Sandy, of Bradford, one son Michael J. (Karen) Gigliotti Sr., of Glastonbury CT, two brothers, George (Mary) Gigliotti, and Eugene Gigliotti, all of Bradford, 4 grandsons, Ken (Jamie) Jividen, Michael Gigliotti, Jr., Ryan Gigliotti and Jason Gigliotti, one great granddaughter Jaylin Jividen and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Ida Rose Gigliotti and one brother, Patrick Gigliotti. Family will be receiving friends on Saturday November 15, 2014 from 9:30am to 11:30pm at the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc. 33 South Ave, where a prayer service will be held at 11:30am, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Noon in St. Bernard Church, with Rev. Raymond Gramata, pastor as Celebrant. Committal services and mausoleum entombment will be held in St Bernard Mausoleum. Memorials, if desired, may be made to St. Bernard Church, Alzheimer's Association, 1128 State St. , Suite 301, Erie, PA 16501, or a charity of the donor's choice.
