Maria J. Mielnicki, 90, formerly of 2 South Ave., Bradford, passed away Thursday, November 20, 2014, peacefully, at the Bradford Manor.

Born in the community of Belgium, on January 23, 1924 she was the daughter of the late Jean and Josephine Maudeux.

She married Walter Mielnicki while he was serving in the United States Armed Forces in France, and came to the States to reside with him in New Jersey.

After his death she then moved to Daytona Beach, Florida. She was employed as a hotel concierge and volunteered at a local elementary school as a classroom "Grandma".

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother John Batiste Maudeux. She was a member of St. Bernard Church.

At the deceased's request there will be no visitation. Private services will be held at the convenience of a few friends, with Rev. Raymond Gramata, pastor of St. Bernard Church officiating. Burial will be in St. Bernard Cemetery.
