Veronica H. O'Rourke

 

Veronica H. O'Rourke, formerly of 28 Rochester Street, passed away Thursday, February 5, 2015, at the Bradford Ecumenical Home.

 

Born in Bradford, she was a daughter of the late John and Victoria (Detman)  Kornacki.

 

On July 7, 1951 in Bradford she married Martin O'Rourke, who died, December 12, 1979.

 

Mrs. O'Rourke was a graduate of Bradford HIgh School. She had formerly worked in the office at City Creamery for 10 years.

 

She was a member of St. Bernard Church.

 

Surviving are five children, three daughters, Nancy (Mike) Cercone, Dianne (Tom) DeLoe, and Colleen (Kevin) Huff all of Bradford, two sons Robert (Susan) O'Rourke, of Bradford, and  Kevin (Patricia) O'Rourke, of Ft. Edward, NY, 8 grandchildren Shannon Madore, Jason Cercone, Megan Mittleider, Brian DeLoe, Christopher Haight, Rachel Huff, Michael O'Rourke, and Erinn O'Rourke, 2 great grandchildren Mackenna Cercone and Chelsea Madore and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a daughter, Mary Elizabeth O'Rourke and two brothers Leo Kornacki and Paul Kornacki.

 

Family will be receiving friends on Monday, February 9, 2015, from 2pm to 4pm & 6pm to 8pm in the  Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc., 33 South Ave., where a prayer service will be held on Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at 9:30am, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am in St. Bernard Church, with Rev. Raymond Gramata, pastor as Celebrant. Burial will be in St. Bernard Cemetery.

 

Memorials, if desired, may be made to St. Bernard Church Building Fund or a charity of the donor's choice.
