David S. Frederick

David S. Frederick, 73, of 599 Main Street, Limestone, NY, passed away Monday, February 23, 2015, at his residence.

Born January 11, 1942, in Limestone, he was a son of the late Charles Thomas Frederick and Edna Viola (Brown) Frederick-Gold.

Mr. Frederick attended Limestone Central School. He had worked in the local oil field, on construction projects such as the Kinzua Dam and the Allegheny Reservoir, and later for Charles B. Giardini Inc in Allegany NY. He was a self employed mechanic in Limestone and Bradford.

He was an avid hunter, fisherman and loved being outdoors. He also enjoyed his Pabst Blue Ribbon.

Surviving are three children, a daughter, Sherri (Jeff) Lapcevich, of Grimsby, Ontario, Canada, two sons, David Frederick, and Mark (Patricia) Frederick, all of Limestone, four sisters, Bonnie Rose, of Ft Myers, FL, Joyce Berthelsen, of Quincy, Mass, Marion Battles, of Simi Valley, CA, and Ernestine Woods, of Limestone, a brother, Thomas Frederick, of Bradford, 8 grandchildren, one great grandchild and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his step father Charles Gold, and three brothers.

Family will be receiving friends on Thursday, February 26, from 6:00 to 7:00pm in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc., 372 East Main St. where funeral and committal services will be held at 7:00pm with Rev. W. LeRoy Beckes retired pastor officiating.

Memorials if desired may be made to the Limestone Volunteer Fire Department.
