Karen L. Bentley

Karen L. Bentley, a loving wife, mother and grandmother 67, of 6 Rosedale Ave., passed away Friday, March 6, 2015, at the Bradford Regional Medical Center.

Born April 26, 1947, in Bradford she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Virginia (Smathers) Valentine.

On October 25, 1975 at the First United Methodist Church she married Gary L. Bentley who survives.

Mrs. Bentley was a 1965 graduate of Bradford Area High School. After high school she began her employment with the Bradford Hospital and worked until 1975 and then became a domestic engineer.

Karen was a member of the First United Methodist Church and attended St. Bernard Church. She was a former member of the Pennhill’s Club and Pine Acres Country Club.

She enjoyed cooking, reading and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Surviving in addition to her husband, is one daughter, Brooke Bentley, of Bradford, two grandchildren, Ava Harper and Cami Harper, one brother, Richard Valentine, of Bemidji MN, and one niece Kimberly Valentine Stolski of Baxter MN.

At the family's request there will be no visitation. Friends may be invited to attend a memorial service at a later date and time to be announced. Burial will be in McKean Memorial Park.

Arrrangements are under the direction of the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc.
