Diane M. DiFazio

Diane M. DiFazio, 57, of 15 Brookline Court, passed away Saturday, April 18, 2015 at her residence.

Born April 21, 1957 on Long Island, NY, she was a daughter of Samuel Wood and the late Julia Wood.

She was a 1975 graduate of Carle Place High School in Long Island, NY.

She attended Hair Dressing and Beauty School in Olean and attended BOCES, where she studied medical practice billing.  She worked in the Olean area for a time as an office assistant in physician practies.  Locally, she worked as a cook at Player's.  

She was a member of the Eagle's Club, enjoyed riding motorcycles, training horses and playing pool in Bradford pool leagues.  

In addition to her father of Richmond, VA, she is survived by three children,  Jennifer (Tom) Snyder, of Bradford; Christopher (Beth) DiFazio, of Raleigh, NC and Brittany  Sisson, of Portville, NY;  five grandchildren, Adelle DiFazio, Morgan DiFazio, Austin Snyder, Kenny Baize and Owen DiFazio and one great granddaughter, Amelia Bowen. two sisters, Deborah (Bruce) Renner, of Bayshore, NY; Karen (Dean) Sidoti, of Richmond, VA; a brother Richard Wood of Carle Place, NY; several nieces and nephews, her companion, Robert Baize and special friends, Nicole Baker and her children, Destinee, Meronica and Anastacia Deitz.  

Friends are invited to call from 2-4 PM on Friday, April 24, 2015 at Player's on Mechanic Street for a celebration of Diane's life.  Arrangements are under the direction of the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc.

I have never understood why good people are taken away from us so young but, as they sing, "only the good die young.. ", I know this is so very true.
