Maxine Lundin, 81, of Coleville, passed away, Sunday, May 31, 2015, at The Pavilion at BRMC.
Born October 17, 1933, in Bradford, she was the daughter of the late Frederick A. and Margaret G. (McCown) Schwab.
On June, 18, 1955 in St. Elizabeth's Church in Smethport she married E. Theodore Lundin, who died September 13, 2000.
Mrs. Lundin was a 1951 graduate of Bradford High School and a 1954 graduate of the Bradford Hospital School of Nursing. She had been employed at the Bradford Hospital from 1954 to 1955. From 1955 to 1957 she worked at Buffalo Veterans Hospital and back to Bradford from 1957 to 1971. She then worked at New Hanover Memorial Hospital in Wilmington NC, from 1971 to 1980 as Med-Surg Nursing Manager. Returning to Bradford in 1980 she worked at BRMC for two to three years. She was a member of the Emanuel Lutheran Evangelical Church of Bradford and the Smethport Senior Center Kitchen Band.
From 1959 to 1971 she along with her husband owned and operated Lundin's Sporting Goods store in Foster Brook.
Surviving is one daughter, Tamara L. (Mark) Taylor of Coleville, two grandsons, Victor (Debbie) Earle, Jr. of Smethport and KevinLee L. (Lacey) Earle of Mooresville, NC, three step grandchildren, Paul Taylor, Christina Taylor, and Molly Taylor all of Bradford, four great grandchildren, Damian, Joey, Victor III and Vianna, two step great grandchildren, Abreanna and Jacob, one brother Richard A. (Mae) Schwab of Campbellsville, KY, and several nieces and nephews.
Family will be receiving friends on Wednesday, June 3, 2015 from 3 to 5pm & 7 to 9pm in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc., 372 East Main St. and again on Thursday, June 4, 2015, from 10:00 to 11:00am at the Emanuel Lutheran Evangelical Church, where funeral services will be held at 11:00am with Rev Thomas Pierotti, Pastor, officiating. Committal services and burial will be in Mt. Tabor Cemetery in Kane.
