Charles T. "Charlie" Gordon Sr.

Charles T. "Charlie" Gordon Sr., 78, of Lewis Run, passed away, Saturday, June 6, 2015, at his residence.

Born November 13, 1936, in Buffalo, he was a son of the late Charles and Annie C. (Thomson) Gordon.

Mr. Gordon was a 1954 graduate of Bradford High School. In 1957 he began his working career with Corning Glass Works which later became Dale Electronics. He retired after 41 years of service.

He was a member of the Naval Reserves for 8 years and a member of the Mt Jewett Legion Post 574.

He is survived by four children, two daughters, Pam (Ken) Vinca of Smethport and Lynne (Brent) Jackson of Bradford, two sons Charles T. "Chuck" (Lisa) Gordon Jr., of Grand Prairie, TX, and John Gordon, his former wife Edie Gordon of Bradford, one sister, Annette Bartholomew, of Shippensburg, four grandchildren Erica Vinca and Sarah Vinca, Kyle Gordon and Alex Gordon, two nephews Doug Bartholomew and Brett Bartholomew.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Michael Gordon in 1968.

Family will be receiving friends on Tuesday, June 9, 2015, from 4:00pm to 7:00pm in the  Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc. 33 South Ave., where funeral services will be held at 10:00am on Wednesday, June 10, 2015, with Rev. Larry Corner, Pastor of Evans Memorial United Methodist Church, officiating. Committal services and full Military Honors will be accorded in McKean Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to McKean County SPCA, Mt Jewett Legion Post 574, or a charity of the donor's choice.
