Jimmie Lou Horton

Jimmie Lou Horton, 78, of 100 St Francis Drive, Bradford, formerly of Bowling Green, KY, went home to be with her Savior on Monday, June 29, 2015 at Bradford Ecumenical Home.

Born December 10, 1936 in Pell City, AL, she was a daughter of the late James and Mary (Strickland) Bynum.

Mrs. Horton received her nursing degree from University of Alabama in 1958. She had been employed at Anaston, AL, University of Vanderbuilt in Nashville, Tenn., and later at the Bowling Green Warren County Medical Center in Bowling Green, Ky.,  with a total of 48 in nursing. She has been a resident of the area for 11 years.

She is survived by two daughters, Cindie (Ryan) Harman, of  Hotspring, NC, and Michele (Danny) Jones, of Woodstock, AL, two sons Richard D. (Kathleen) Yovichin II, of Bradford, and Robert A. (Ann) Yovichin, of Andalusia, AL, two sisters, Faye Guy, of Opelika, AL, and Sara (J.C.) Creel, of Mobile AL, three grandchildren,Richard Yovichin, III, Jamie Lynn Yovichin, and, Danyelle Jones. She was preceded in death by her parents, and one sister, June Martin.

 At the family's request there will be no visitation. Private services will be held for the family in AL. Arrangements  are under the direction of the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc.
