"Jonesy" as I always referred to him, was out of both respect and admiration. He was a strong supporter of athletics, but more importantly, was concerned about each and every student and allowing them to achieve success in whatever they were involved in. Thank you for your years of service, and your positive attitude. Our prayers and condolences to Kathy and the rest of the Jones family.

Dave, as a leader and a friend
We felt safe, knowing that our dignity would be preserved, our strengths would be recognized, our interests would be served. He was trusted, with a voice of reason, with a response born from experience, a solution made with integrity, a perspective rooted in what would best sustain and support the child, the family, the individual, the team.
Children knew instinctively that this man was genuine, that he took care of things, that he loved them, that everything was going to be ok. They flocked to him, with giddy excitement. " Mr. Jones! "
Dave was a tremendous asset and a credit to the Bradford Area School District. The children who knew Dave were so fortunate to have had such a role model to which they could aspire.
Those of us who were blessed with the friendship of such an honorable man will long remember his wit, his wisdom, his smile, his laugh, his understanding and acceptance, and his uncanny ability to always be there when you needed him most.
Universally respected, admired, and loved, Dave will be sorely missed.

Mr. Jones was one of the best educators I ever had the privilege of knowing. He was VP at BAHS when I went there and P at GGB when my daughter went there. It was a sigh of relief to know he was her P.
You could tell he taught because he loved to inspire young minds to try their best, never lose who they were and to have fun learning.
Please say thank you to Mr. Jones and his family for the time he put into not only education but also sports. He always went above and beyond. You could see the love he had for his job and his students!
I pray for his family for healing and I pray that others in education may see him still if not more as an inspiration to be more like him. Lord knows we need it!
