Doris A. Schoonover

Doris A. Worthington Schoonover, 71, a loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, of 159 Oil Valley Road Duke Center, passed away Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at Bradford Regional Medical Center.

Born December 12, 1943 in Canton PA, she was a daughter of the late Harley and Eunice (Clark) Worthington. She attended Oswayo Valley schools in Shinglehouse.

She was a homemaker who enjoyed going to bingo, collecting angels, planting flowers, baking, but most important to her was her family reunions.

Surviving are two daughters, Barbara (Curt Smith) Norton, and Rosemarie (Arthur Williams) Schoonover, three sons, Douglas (Christine) Schoonover, Ronald Schoonover and David (Carol) Schoonover, three sisters, Audrey Sweitzer, Connie (Donnie) Sikes and Diane (John) Harvey, five brothers, Lyle (Francine) Worthington, John Worthington, Harold (Alice) Worthington, Robert (Elaine) Worthington and William (Tracy) Worthington, 19 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death her parents, two sisters Phyllis Worthington and Patricia Worthington, one grandson, one great grandson and her companion Alton "Pops" Unverdorben.

Friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life at 10:00am on Saturday July 25, 2015, at the Christian Missionary Church in Shinglehouse with Rev. James Hadden, pastor officiating. Burial will be in Lickrun Cemetery in Gaines.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc.
