Cora Randine Matthews, 81, of 80 Gates Hollow, passed away, Wednesday, August 19, 2015.

Born February 12, 1934, in Hazelton, she was a daughter of the late Rollin A. and Cora R. (Tvedt) Schaeffer.

On September 24, 1955 at the Emanuel Lutheran Church in Bradford she married William H. Matthews who survives.

Mrs. Matthews was a 1952 graduate of Bradford High School. She had been employed at McCory's 5 & 10 Store and later at Bell Telephone for over 30 years and worked in Bradford and Warren. 

She was a member of the Emanuel Lutheran Church, the DORCAS at church, the Women's Literacy Club and the Bell Telephone Pioneers. She enjoyed cooking and appeared twice on the cooking segment of WPSX TV. 

Surviving in addition to her husband of 60 years, is one daughter, Randine M. (Alfred) Ruiz, of Alhambra, CA, and one son, John (Anna Marie Chirillo) Matthews, of Bradford, a sister, Marian (Richard) Hendee, of Fairport, NY, 2 grandchildren, Andrew Reap and Joey Reap, and several nieces and nephews.

At the family's request there will be no public visitation or funeral services. Arrangements are under the direction of the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc.
