Dale C. Soble, 87, loving husband, father and grandfather, of 6032 Pale Moss Lane, Charlotte, NC, formerly of Bradford and Winter Haven, FL passed away Monday, August 31, 2015 at Levine Dickson Hospice House in Charlotte surrounded by his loving family.
Born August 19, 1928 in Bradford, he was a son of the late George and Blanche (Barrett) Soble.
On September 11, 1948, he married Betty Jean (Poling) Soble, who survives.
He was a 1947 graduate of Bradford High School.
Dale worked at Tuna Manufacturing in Bradford for more than 30 years. After he retired from Bisett Building Center in Bradford, he moved to Winter Haven, FL, where he worked at Publix Supermarket before his move to Charlotte in 2013.
He was a member of the former Y's Men's Club of the Bradford YMCA. He was an avid collector of Zippo lighters. His lifetime hobby was home improvement projects for family and friends. He loved spending time with his family at home and Rushford Lake, NY. Dale was well known for his humor and quiet, caring personality.
In addition to his wife of 67 years, he is survived by four children, Sheila (Frank) Hamelly of Charlotte, NC; Linda 'Kay' Soble, Donna (Charles) Henderson and David (Kimberly) Soble, all of Bradford; nine grandchildren, Stephen (Jennifer) Galey, Kari (Scott) Eaton, James (Jessica) Paterniti, Bryant (Melanie) Soble, Brian (Angie Peterson) Henderson, Shawn Henderson, Corinne (Daniel) Oleyourryk, Erica (Rob Yohe) Soble and Danielle Soble; ten great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Dennis Soble, a sister Lorraine Spradlin and two brothers William Montgomery and Paul Barrett.
Family will be receiving friends from 10:00am to 11:00am, Saturday, September 19, 2015 in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc., 33 South Avenue, where funeral services will be held at 11:00am with Rev. Seth McClymonds, pastor of The First United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in McKean Memorial Park.
