Gerald Rinfrette, 83, of 231 Parkside Dr. Limestone, passed away, Monday, October 5, 2015, surrounded by his loving family, at his residence.
Born June 13, 1932, in Bradford he was a son of the late Peter and Ruth E. (Hansen) Rinfrette.
On November 5, 1955 in Olean he married Gladys I. (Deemer) Rinfrette, who died on April 20, 2008.
Mr. Rinfrette attended Bradford High School. He enlisted in the United States Air Force on May 7, 1951, in Erie. He served 2 years in the Philippines and 60 days in Korea and was honorably discharged on November 30, 1953.
He had worked for Kline Brother's Body Shop, W.R. Case Cutlery & Sons, Corning Glass and then he owned and operated Jerry's Body Shop, in Limestone, for 50 years. He loved all animals but Skippy his Sheltie stole his heart.
Surviving is a daughter, Sally (Mark) Stormer, of Bradford, two sons Robert (Vicki) Rinfrette, and Scott (Cindy) Rinfrette, all of Limestone, one sister, Rose Mary (Jim) Hannold, of Gifford, 2 grandchildren, Megan Snyder and Mindy Stormer, 2 great grandchildren, Brianna Snyder and Gabriel Snyder and 2 Step grandchildren Kelly Waid and Bryan Miller Jr. and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, 2 brothers, Richard Rinfrette and James "Jumbo" Rinfrette and 4 sisters, Barbara Rupert, Marjorie Curcio, LaReta Linane and Joan Osborne.
Family will be receiving friends on Wednesday, October 7, 2015 from 3 to 5pm & 7 to 9pm in the Hollenbeck-Cahill funeral Homes, Inc, 372 East Main St. where funeral services will be held at 11:00am Thursday, with Rev. Stan Scoville, Chaplin of the Olean Hospice, officiating. Committal Services and Military Honors will be accorded Friday at 1:00pm in St. Patrick's Cemetery.
