Angelina Angie Whiteman

Angelina “Angie” Whiteman, 84, a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother of 5784 North Street, Limestone, formerly of Moses Street, in Limestone, passed away Tuesday, October 27, 2015, at the Olean General Hospital.

Born March 3, 1931, in Limestone, she was a daughter of the late Antonio and Vetta (Policastro) Barrile.

On May 1, 1948 at St. Patrick's Church in Limestone she married Malcolm T. Whiteman, who died October 5, 1999.

Mrs. Whiteman attended Limestone High School. She had been employed at the Hannum Home and the Bradford Nursing Pavilion for over 20 years.

She enjoyed reading, cooking for her family, and listening to country music.

Surviving are five sons, Thomas (Susan) Whiteman, of Goldsboro, NC,  Robert (Karen) Whiteman, of Great Valley, NY Charles Whiteman, of Limestone, Michael Whiteman, of Tonawanda, NY and Richard  Whiteman, of Bradford, two sisters, Vicki (Jim) Champlin, of Limestone, and Camilla Rouse, of Florida, one brother, Joseph Barrile, of Limestone, 12 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, four sisters Rose Updegrove, Grace Barrile, Mary Merritt, and Jenny Reed, and six brothers, John, Anthony, Dominic, John (2nd), Patrick, and Frank Barrile.

Family will be receiving friends on Friday, October 30, 2015 from 3:00pm to 7:00pm in the  Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc., 372 East Main St., where funeral and committal services will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, October 31, 2015, with Rev. Raymond Gramata, pastor of St. Bernard Church, officiating. Burial will be in St. Patrick Cemetery in Limestone.

Memorials, if desired, may be made to charity of the donor's choice.
