Karen S. Powley

Karen S. Powley, 61, a loving daughter, mother, and sister, formerly of Bradford most recently of Nahunta, GA, returned to her Lord and Savior, Saturday, December 19, 2015 at the Southeast Georgia Health System in Brunswick GA.

Born December 6, 1954, in Bradford she was a daughter of Evelyn M. (Bunce) Moreth who survives of Bradford and the late Norman F. "Syracuse" Moreth who died on March 25, 2009. She attended Bradford Schools.

Karen worked at the Motorola Plant in Arcade, and prior her retirement due to health issues, she worked as a maintenance worker for the City of Brunswick GA.

She was past member of the American Legion Post 108, and the Italian Club.

Surviving in addition to her mother Evelyn, are two daughters, Becky Curtis, of Nahunta GA, and Christy Curtis, of Bradford, 4 grandchildren, Britney McMichaels, Christopher 'Bubba" Johnson Jr., Sierra Curtis, and Brianna Trutt, 2 great grandchildren, Kenzleigh McMichaels, and Bryson Asbell, two sisters, Nancy (Walter) Pastorius, of Delevan NY, and Debra (Joe) Kroah, of Columbus OH, one brother, Norman (Nancy) Moreth, of Bradford, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father Norman, and several aunts and uncles.

Relatives and friends will be invited to attend a graveside service at Willow Dale Cemetery, at later date and time to be announced, with the Rev. Terri Niver of the Wesleyan Church officiating. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc.

I was crushed but I also knew she needed her family,but I needed her too so when she came back I was so happy to see her.I guess God knew she needed to come back to see all of us especially her kids, grands and meet great grand babies before God called her home.Karen,I know you will be our guardian angel up there i'm glad I had you in my life you are like a sister to me.love and miss you very much but you will always be in my heart.
