Gerald D. Neely

Gerald D. Neely, 78, of Rochester, NY, formerly of 71 Belmont St., Bolivar NY, passed away Monday, February 15, 2016, at Shore Winds Nursing Home, in Rochester.

Born September 15, 1937, in Bradford he was a son the late Wayne and Alice (Work) Neely.

Mr. Neely was a 1958 graduate of Bradford High School.

Gerald had been employed at W. R. Case Cutlery & Sons for a while and then moved to Rochester, NY, and worked as a fork lift operator and truck driver at Xerox for 30 years.

He was a member of the Brookside Wesleyan Church in Wellsville, NY, and long time member of the ATV Traction ATV Club.

Surviving is one son, Eric T. (Anie) Neely, two grandchildren, Jeremy and Daniela, a sister, Wendy Schwab, a sister in law, Carol Neely, both of Bradford, a brother in law Tom Least of FL.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his companion of 30 years Sylvia Vullo, three sisters, Jeanne N. Walker, Carol N. Least and Beverly Moyer and two brothers, James Neely and infant Richard.

Family will be receiving friends on Friday February 19, 2016 from 3-5pm & 7-9pm in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc., 372 East Main Street, where funeral & committal services will be held on Saturday at 1:00pm with Rev. Robin George, pastor of Brookside Wesleyan Church, officiating. Burial will be in McKean Memorial Park.

Memorials if desired may be made to the American Diabetes Association or a charity of the donor's choice.
