Betty M. Covell, 86, formerly of 44 East Corydon St., passed away Wednesday, March 23, 2016, at Lakeview Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center in Smethport. 

Born August 5, 1929, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Julia (Urban) Walaski.

On June 12,1946 in Bradford, she married Ralph  "Scrappy" Covell, who passed away December 21, 1988.

She was a 1946 graduate of Bradford High School. 

She worked for W.R. Case and Son's Cutlery Company for over 20 years, before she retired.   

She was a member of St. Francis Church  and was also a member of Women of the Moose; The VFW Ladies Auxiliary and the Eagle's Auxiliary.  

She is survived by a son,James A. 'Tony' (Anna Liisa) Covell, of Nobleton, FL;  nine grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; one brother, Steve Walaski of Clearwater, FL and several nieces and nephews In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two daughters, Carol Castiglione and Barbara Davis and one son Kenneth E. Covell.

Friends are invited to call from 10-11 AM, Wednesday, March 30, 2016 in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc., East Main St., where funeral and committal services will be held with Rev. Raymond Gramata, pastor of St. Bernard Church, officiating.  Burial will follow in St. Bernard Cemetery.  Memorial contributions, if desired, can be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
