Karen E. Franco

Karen E. Franco, 71, of 33 Main St. Lewis Run, passed away, Thursday, April 7, 2016, after a long and courageous battle with breast cancer, at the Bradford Manor.

Born January 31, 1945, she was a daughter of the late George and Gertrude (Dailey) Miketish.

Karen was raised by her grandmother Lina Dailey and graduated from Smethport High School in 1962.

She married Bernard F. "Nard"  Franco, who died on May 19, 2000.

She was a member of Our Mother of Perpetual Help Church.

Karen worked Tops Supermarket where she was the Deli Manager for 13 years, then went  work  at Zippo Manufacturing where she retired 2008.

Surviving are four daughters, Suzette (Jeff) Francen, Bernadette Franco, Dawnette Franco-Wright and Tonette (Jeff) Feiro, of all of Bradford, one sister, Martha (Chet) Lindemuth, of VA,  one brother, Robert (Veronica) Miketish, of Gifford, 12 grandchildren, Ryan, Michael, Morgan, David, Megan, Kaitlin, Brittany, Dalton, Dominic, Aaron, Sophia, and Joanne, 6 great grandchildren Airabella, Geno, Jackson, Greyson, Evan, Mikey, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one daughter Marietta Norcross who died November 21, 1999, and one brother Josh Miketish.

Family will be receiving friends on Monday, April 11, 2016, from 3:00pm to 5:00pm in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc., 372 East Main Street, at 5:00pm funeral and committal services will be held.

Memorials if desired may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.

What a beautiful picture of your mom. My memories go back a long way while you where living on Henderson Road. Your mom and I, Bonnie Frigo and Opal Vinca used to get together and play cards.
