Richard Rick Black

Richard "Rick" Black, 85, a lifelong resident of Mt Alton, passed away Friday, May 13, 2016, surrounded by his loving family, at The Pavilion at BRMC.

Born April 26, 1931, in Mt. Alton he was a son of the late Vernie S. and Minnie A. (McCool) Black.

Rick attended M.J. Ryan School and St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Mt. Alton.

Rick enjoyed being outdoors, sitting on the porch, visiting with family and friends.

Surviving is one sister, Gail (the late Richard) Vecellio, of Mt. Alton, one brother, Thomas (Nancy) Black, of Mt. Alton, 7 nieces and nephews, Lori Murphy, Tim Vecellio, Richard Black, Cindy Hervatin, William Black, Jody Campbell and Charles Black, and several grand nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers Bernard Black and  Charles "Chick" Black.

Family will be receiving friends Tuesday May 17, 2017 from 11:00am to 1:00pm in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc. 372 East Main St., at 1:00pm funeral and committal services will be held with Rev. Raymond Gramata, pastor of St. Bernard Church, officiating. Burial will be in McKean Memorial Park.
