All Condolences -

I was surprised to see Gene''s obit sent to us , the Clearwater High Class of 58 reunion committee. He was always one of our big healthy guys always ready to help out with a project. He was our school distance runner, the mile race on the track team which went to state. we was very good. best we had. He also played both ways on the football team on the line. He could run forever but was not fleet of foot. Ran like he had a piano on his back. Ha! What a great team mate he was and will be missed. the lord is getting a good man up there and I''ll look forward to seeing him again someday. from all of his old friends. we will miss you Gene, Don Johnson

I am very sorry for your loss. I did not know Gene but as many times as I have ran the block, I could tell he was a very hard worker and was always a familiar face. My daughter came home from walking the block one day and said he had given her a thumbs up and encouragement as she walked by. -my deepest sympathy to his family.
