Donna Christine Bethune, 86, formerly of 1139 South Avenue and 2 Bushnell Street passed away  Thursday, July 7, 2016 at The Pavilion at BRMC.

Born December 4, 1929 in Bradford, she was the daughter of the late William and Idell (McCune) Jacobson.

On October 18, 1952 in the Emanuel Lutheran Church, she married Melvin Lester Bethune, who passed away January 14, 2000.

She was a graduate of Bradford High School.  She had been employed with Ryder-Scott Company and after her marriage she worked at Bethune Grocery Store and then Singer Country Store, retiring in 1969 to help her son with his music.

In addition to her parents, and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Rev. Randy (Banjo) Bethune on July 14, 1996. 

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, July 12, 2016 in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc., South Avenue, with Rev. J. Wesley Gilbert, of The Rock of Revelation Church in Olean, NY, officiating.  Burial will be in Clermont Cemetery.
