Louis D. Cucuzza

Louis D. Cucuzza, 88, of 202 Eleven West Drive, Unit 2A, Sunrise Beach, MO 65079, formerly of Bradford, passed away peacefully on July 19, 2016 at Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach, MO.

Born on May 2, 1928 in Bradford, he was a son of the late Dominic and Julia (Piscitelli) Cucuzza.

Lou was a 1946 graduate of Bradford High School. He attended The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford and graduated from Mercyhurst College in 1975 with a degree in Law Enforcement. 

He was a member of St. Bernard Church, Past President of the St. Francis Men's Club, served on the St. Francis Advisory Board, and was a member of the AFL-CIO.  

Mr. Cucuzza worked as a Millwright at Dresser Manufacturing from 1944 until his retirement in 1970.  He especially enjoyed fishing and playing poker with his children and grandchildren. 

Surviving are two daughters, Jeanne Lamb of North East and Carol Cucuzza of Mahopac, NY, five sons Carl (Toni) Cucuzza of Monroe, GA, Mark Cucuzza of Trenton, TX, Joseph (Christe) Cucuzza of Lewis Run, Thomas (Susan) Cucuzza of Bay Village, OH and Robert Cucuzza and Heather Suran of Los Angeles, CA; 15 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.  He is also survived by his companion of many years, Jayne Wilhelms of Sunrise Beach, MO.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph R. Cucuzza, and one son-in-law Ralph Lamb.

Friends are invited to call from 5 – 8 PM on Thursday, July 28, 2016 in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc., 372 East Main St., where a prayer service will be held at 9:30 AM, Friday, July 29, 2016, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am in St. Francis Church, with Rev. Stephen Collins, pastor as Celebrant. Committal services and burial will follow in St. Bernard Cemetery.

Memorial contributions, if desired, can be made to St. Bernard School or a charity of the donor's choice.
