Larry D. Dehner

Larry D. Dehner, 47, of West Washington St. Bradford, passed away Saturday, December 10, 2016, at Olean General Hospital.

Born February 3, 1969, in Bradford, he was a son of the late Robert L. and Doris M. (Shall) Dehner.

Larry was a 1988 graduate of Bradford High School.

On July 27, 1989, he enlisted in the United States Army. Larry was a Tank Turret Repairman stationed at Ft. Polk in LA. He was honorably discharged July 31, 1992, as an EO-3.

Larry was an over the road truck driver for Celadon Trucking and later DJ Franzen Trucking. He also bartended at area bars including, the Italian Club, American Legion, and Marsh's Bar.

He loved to spend time with his family and friends, and was always available to help anyone in need. He enjoyed the outdoors, snowmobiling, four wheeling. He was member of the VFW, American Legion, and Eagles Club.

Surviving are one son, Airman First Class Brett Dehner of Jamestown, NY,  two step children, Tarin Cardone and Tylor Cardone, both of Jamestown, NY his former wife Lisa of Jamestown, two sisters Dixie Churn, and Denise Blackman both of Monmouth IL, three brothers, Steve (Polly) Dehner, of Bradford, Rod Dehner, of Monmouth IL, and Bill Dehner, of Colo, IA, and  several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one nephew, Robert "Rob" Dehner, one grand nephew, Dakota Lee Heinaman.

Family will be receiving friends on Wednesday, December 14, 2016 from 4:00pm to 6:00pm at the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc. 33 South Ave., where funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, with Rev. Matt Blake, Pastor of the Bradford Area Parish, officiating. Committal services and Military Honors will be accorded in Willow Dale Cemetery.

Memorials, if desired, may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
