Beverly R. Lankard, 82, a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, of Lewis Run, formerly of Harmonsburg Rd, Meadville, passed away Thursday, December 15, 2016 at Bradford Manor.
Born February 28, 1934 in Pig's Ear, she was a daughter of the late Daniel and Josephine (McIntyre) Witherell.
On December 16, 1973 in Kane Baptist Church, she married Robert L. “Bob” Lankard, who passed away October 29, 2011.
She attended DeYoung School and Kane High School.
Bev greatest joy was being known as a wonderful homemaker. She loved gardening, canning, and watching birds. She enjoyed knitting, keeping in contact with her family and friends on her iPad and Facebook.
Surviving are seven daughters, Sandra Crossley, of Woodbridge, VA, Karen (Dwight) DeCarlo, of Anderson, SC, Diana (Buster) Shimko, of Marleysburg, Debi (the late Tex Breese) Dyne, of Lewis Run, Linda McComb, of Lewis Run, Robin Corapi, of Erie and Penny (Tom) Kahle, of Marienville, three sons Rick Dyne, of Polkton, NC, Mike (Carolyn) Lankard, of Waynesburg and Shawn (Loretta) Dyne, of Austinburg, OH; 23 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 1 sister-in-law, Betty Witherell of Kane, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Fran McKenna, Betty Holahan, Virgina Clawges, and two brothers, James Witherell, and William Witherell.
Friends are invited to call on Monday December 19, 2016 from 2:00pm to 5:00pm in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc., 33 South Ave., and again on Tuesday from 11:00am to 12:00pm, at noon funeral services will be held with Rev. W. LeRoy Beckes, retired Presbyterian minister, officiating. Committal services and burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Kane.
Memorials, if desired, may be made to Lafayette Township Volunteer Fire Department or the McKean County SPCA, or a charity of the donor's choice.
