Joyce I. Cercone

Joyce I. Cercone, 84, of 276 East Main Street, Bradford, passed away, Friday, April 28, 2017, at the Bradford Ecumenical Home.

Born December 22, 1932, in Ludlow, she was a daughter of the late John B. and Mary Jeannette (Korb) Carll.

Joyce was a 1951 graduate of Bradford High School.

On September 24, 1955, in St. Bernard Church, she married Angelo D. Cercone who died July 14, 2007.

Mrs. Cercone had been employed at Dresser Manufacturing as a switchboard operator for over 30 years. She enjoyed reading and traveling around the country with her family.

She is survived by a son, Michael J. (Nancy) Cercone of Bradford, a daughter-in-law, Carolyn Cercone of Bradford, two brothers, Albert E. "Gene" (Donna) Carll, of Bradford, and Duane E. (Betty) Carll, of North Tonawanda, five grandchildren, Jason M. Cercone, Megan M. (Greg) Mittleider, Brandon J. Cercone, Rachel L. Cercone and Amber Reed, one great grandchild, Mackenna Cercone, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one son, Mark J. Cercone.

Family will be receiving friends on Monday, May 1, 2017, from 4:00 to 7:00pm, and again Tuesday 10:00am to 11:00am in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc., 372 East Main St. where funeral and committal services will be held on Tuesday, at 11:00am, with Rev. W. LeRoy Beckes, retired Presbyterian minister officiating. Burial will be in St.Bernard Mausoleum.
