Raymond J. Tingley

Raymond J. Tingley, 87, of 6340 Limestone Run, Limestone, passed away Thursday, May 4, 2017, at Bradford Manor.

Born June 3, 1929 in Crown, he was a son of the late Charles and Mary (Fesenmyer) Tingley. He attended school on Leeper.

On November 6, 1948, he married Doris "Jeanne" (Raught) Tingley who died February 4, 2008. Together they raised many foster children over a 25 year period.

Ray was employed at Dresser-Clark in Olean for 37 years.

Surviving are five daughters, Edwardene Schoonover, of Limestone, Christina (Stephen) Rodgers, of Partlow VA, Janice (Doug) Stiles, of Bradford, Tammy (Rich) Grove, of Bradford, and Debbie (Donnie) Forester, of Franklinville NY, one daughter-in-law Candace Tingley of Limestone, four sons,  Jerome (Tammy) Tingley, of Limestone, Jeffrey (Cathy) Tingley, of Olean, Kenneth (Marcy) Tully, of Mt Jewett, and John (Lorrie) Tingley, of Richmond VA, 26 grandchildren, 47 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one son Gregory Tingley, one son-in-law John "Jack" Schoonover, three great grandchild, five brothers and five sisters.

At the family's request there will be no visitation. Services are private at the convenience of family. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc.
