William Ronald Hollenbeck
William Ronald Hollenbeck, 82, of 326 Derrick Road, passed away Thursday, May 25, 2017 at The Pavilion at BRMC.
Born April 5, 1935 in Bradford, he was a son of the late Brooks B. and Alice (Rose) Hollenbeck.
On September 10, 1960, he married Patricia Carol Frampton, who survives.
He was a 1955 graduate of Bradford High School and graduated with Bachelor of Arts degree from Allegheny College in Meadville in 1959.
After college, he became employed by Corning Glass Works in Bradford, working both at their Bradford and Raleigh, NC plants in various capacities and departments for over 30 years. He retired as Vice President and General Manager of the Bradford plant.
Ron actively served his community on various advisory boards, including The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford, The YMCA and The United Way.
He was an avid sports fan and student of history with a passionate love for baseball. Most of all, Ron enjoyed time spent with family including family vacations, ski outings, golf and providing unyielding support for his children's endeavors.
In addition to his wife of 56 years, he is survived by three children, Timothy (Janet) Hollenbeck, of Cincinnati, OH; Jamie (Paul Anderson) Hollenbeck, of Cumberland, RI and Craig Hollenbeck, of Columbus, OH; four grandchildren, Jack, Blake, Adah and Seth and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Brooks B. Hollenbeck, Jr., Gale F. Hollenbeck; a sister, Gloria Jean McGhee, and his ever loving and beloved grandmother, Hazel Bartley Hollenbeck.
Friends are invited to call from 4-6 PM, Sunday, May 28, 2017 in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc. 33 South Ave. Bradford, and again from 12-1 PM, Monday, May 29, 2017 in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc., where funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM with Rev. Rob Klouw, co-pastor of the First Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial will be in Willow Dale Cemetery.
