Lewis Glenn Williams

Lewis Glenn Williams, 83, of Bradford, passed away Saturday, August 5th,2017, at the Bradford Manor.

Born October 21, 1933 In Bradford, he was the son of the late Lewis and Bessie Williams. 

Lewis was hit by a car at the age of 6, this gave him a bad limp all through his life.  He attended Bradford Area Schools and served in the Army until he was given a medical discharge.

Lewis worked for the city of Bradford and retired after 37 years.  He drove school bus for the Bradford Area Schools and delivered food to the Mt. Jewett and Kane Senior Centers. 

A member of the First Wesleyan Church, he was very active and did devotions in various nursing homes.  Lewis led the singing on many occasions and sang solos with a rich, full voice.  He sang with the Jolly O's from the Bradford Senior Center.  As a young man he would sing in church with his mother, while she played the accordion. 

Surviving are a sister, Anna Clarke, two nephews, several great nieces and great nephews all in Canada, and his former wife Frances E Haight, of Kane.

At Lewis's request there will be no public services.  Local arrangements are under Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Home.
