William L. Johnson, 78, of 52 Parkview Ave, Bradford, passed away Tuesday, September 12, 2017, peacefully, at Olean General Hospital, surrounded by his loving family
Born August 29, 1939 in Bradford, he was a son of the late Harold and Marion (Whitney) Johnson.
On January 9, 1974 in Bradford, he married Joette L. (Cousins) Johnson who survives.
William was a 1957 graduate of Bradford High School. He worked his apprenticeship and as a journeyman printer at the Bradford Era. Later he worked at Bradford Printing and McCourt Label. His career spanned over 40 years in the printing business.
He was a member of the International Typographical Union, a former member of the Eagles Club and the Bradford Moose Lodge. He enjoyed bowling and golfing. He was an avid outdoorsman, who loved to hunt and fish. His greatest joy was spending time with family and especially his grandchildren.
Surviving is his wife, Joette, of 43 years, one daughter, Christine (J.C. Pascual) Johnson, of Miami, FL, two sons, Curt W. Johnson, Daytona Beach, FL and James (Kristin) Ronan, of Bradford, three grandchildren, Alexander Ronan, Jackson Ronan and Madison Ronan, one sister Shirley (Harley Peterson) Rinehart, of Bradford, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Beverly Coffman and Dorothy Perry and one brother, Harold "Bud" Johnson.
Family will be receiving friends on Saturday, September 16, 2017, from 10:00am to 11:30am in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc., 372 East Main St., at 11:30am funeral services will be held with Rev. Rob Klouw, Co-Pastor of the First Presbyterian Church officiating.
