Gordon E. Gould, 88, of 515 Coleville Road, Rew, passed away Sunday, September 17, 2017, at Bradford Regional Medical Center.
Born September 12, 1929 in Bradford, he was a son of the late Harold and Florence (Hitchcock) Gould.
On September 16, 1950 in Bradford, he married Terza Virginia (Hardesty) Gould who died June 25, 2008.
Affectionately known as “Gordy”, his legacy can be seen throughout the community. As a bricklayer for over 50 years, he worked on numerous projects, schools, churches, and firehall’s. One of his proudest works can be seen at the University of Pittsburgh, he layed the brick for the Hanley Library.
Surviving are two children, one daughter Linda Gilbert of Rew, and COL (Ret.) Michael (Patricia Pehonsky) Gould of Carlisle, one sister, Marilyn Gould Hale of Jamestown, five grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, two daughters, Diana Burrows, and Kathaleen Gould.
Family will be receiving friends on Tuesday, September 19, 2017 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc. 33 South Ave, where funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00am with Rev. Rob Klouw, Co-Pastor of the First Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial will be in McKean Memorial Park.
Memorial may be made to the American Cancer Society, American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.
