Alyssa Y. Hawk

Alyssa Y. Hawk, 28, of 105 Hemlock Ave., Bradford, passed away. Saturday, September 8, 2018.

Born October 11, 1989 in Latrobe, she was a daughter of Harry B. Hawk of Indiana and Deborah (Tom Palumbo) Cornman of Bradford.

Alyssa was a 2008 graduate of Bradford High School. She completed Children's Development Associate Program, and attended Clarion University where she studied early childhood education.

She had been employed at Zippo Mfg. for 2 years. She currently worked as the Director at Learn Love Laugh Child Care, in Bradford and Port Allegany, since 2011. She loved embracing all the children at the center as her own and loved becoming family with everyone she encountered there.

Alyssa was as member of A.B.A.T.E of Pennsylvania, McKean Co. Rifle Club, and Cub Scout Leader for Troop, 498. She also volunteered for L.E.E.K. Hunting and Mountain Preserve in Potter County.

Alyssa loved her son more than life itself, and her niece who was her world.

Surviving in addition to her parents, is one son, Andrew McCormick, Jr, of Bradford, one sister, Rachael (Ed Hayden) Hawk, of Bradford, two brothers, Jeremy (Elizabeth) Hawk, of Indiana, and Jason (Aurora) Hawk, of Greensburg, one niece Zayleigh Lewis and one nephew Samuel Hawk, her maternal grandfather Robert Cornmam of Armagh.

Family will be receiving friends on Thursday, September 13, 2018, from 5:00 to 7:00pm in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc., 372 East Main St., where a Celebration of her life will be held at 7:00pm with Rev. Matt Blake, Pastor of the Bradford Area Parish, officiating.

Memorial contributions, if desired, may be made to Cub Scout Troop 498, or A.B.AT.E. of PA.
