Arthur F. Owens, Sr., 86, formerly of formerly of Farmers Valley, passed away at Tuesday, April 9, 2019, at Bradford Manor.

Born October 24, 1932 in Corry, he was a son of the late Allen and Bernice E. (Francis) Owens. Art attended school in Corry.

Mr. Owens joined the United States Navy on December 13, 1951 and served aboard the USS NH, Memphis, and the Tennessee, he was honorably discharged on June 5, 1953

After returning from the service he was employed as a Machinist at Dresser Manufacturing from where he retired.

Art enjoyed golfing and going to bingo. 

Surviving is one daughter, Lori Owens of Bradford,, and one son, Arthur F. Owens Jr., of Bradford, 3 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a sister Martha Kay.

At the Art's request there will be no public services observed. Military Honors will be accorded by the United States Navy and members of the American Legion Post 108 Honor Guard at Fairmont Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc.

Memorials contributions if desired, may be made to the a charity of the donor's choice. 

Interment will be private and at convenience of the family Fairmont Cemetery.
