Cindy Sayers

Cynthia L. "Cindy" Sayers, 72, formerly of 29 Leland Ave., passed away, Monday, May 13, 2019, at Bradford Regional Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family.

Born April 12, 1947 in Bradford, she was a daughter of the late Marion (Cobb) Sayers.

On November 13, 1965 in the First Baptist Church, she married LCpl Larry R. Havers who was killed in action in Vietnam on October 29, 1967.

Cindy was a 1965 graduate of Bradford High School, she received her LPN degree in 1985 from BOCES, and graduated as a Registered Nurse from the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford in 1989.

She was a member of St. Bernard Church, and attended Open Arms Church.

Cindy worked at Bradford Regional Medical Center as an LPN,as a Registered Nurse and a Nursing Supervisor at Bradford Regional Medical Center. She also was a LPN instructor at BOCES.

Surviving is one daughter, Brenda A. Wooten of Tulsa OK, one son, Mark R. (Sonia) Havers of Allegany NY, nine grandchildren, Stephanie Havers, Larry Havers, Mark Havers Jr., Melissa Ackley, Brandon Anderson, Michael Campbell, Steven Wooten, Matt Wooten, and Lucas Wooten, 12 great grandchildren, two brothers, Edward (Dee) Sayers, and William (Linda) Sayers both of Bradford, her canine companion "Bailey" a Golden Retriever, and several nieces and nephews.

Private services will be held for family in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc. with Rev. Raymond Gramata, pastor of St. Bernard Church, and Rev. Mike McAvoy, Pastor of Open Arms Church co-officiating. Committal services and burial will be in Allegany Cemetery, in Allegany NY.

Memorials contributions if desired, may be made to the Parkinson's Foundation, SPCA, or a charity of the donor's choice.
