Robert L. Smith

Robert L. Smith, 72, of Bradford, passed away Wednesday, January 8, 2020, at his residence. 

Born December 17, 1947 in Bradford, he was a son of the late Burton and Elda Mae (Reninger) Smith.

He was a 1965 graduate of Bradford High School. In 1965 he enlisted in the United States Army and was honorably discharged after two years of service.

On October 16, 1999 in Olean NY he married Betty M. (McCollough) Smith who died
November 9, 2000. 

After the service he returned to Bradford and began employment at Case Cutlery. He was employed for many years at Futures Inc. After his retirement he worked as a gardener at Glendorn for 3 years. 

He enjoyed being out in his yard and feeding the birds, 

Surviving is one sister, Kay Carone, of Erie, one brother, Gene Smith, of Parkersburg WV, and one sister in law Marilyn Smith of Bradford, and many nieces and nephews.
 
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, two sisters, Joyce Kaywood and Janice Paul, two brothers, Jack Smith, and Gerald Smith.

As requested by Bob there will be no public services. Burial will be in Willow Dale Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc.

Memorials if desired may be made to Future's or the McKean County SPCA.
