Diane M. McGuire

Diane (McFarland) McGuire, 86, of Bradford, passed away on Saturday, July 18, 2020, at The Pavilion @ BRMC.

She was born in Bradford on September 10, 1933; the third child born to the late Francis James (“Mickey”) McFarland who passed away in 1961, Stella (Storey) McFarland who joined her husband in heaven in 1979.

Diane was a 1951 graduate of St. Bernard School, and was a life-long member of St. Bernard Catholic Church.

Although Diane loved dogs (Duke, Max, Irving, Champion, Chase and Scooter), her family was the centerpiece of Diane’s life. She was a loving and giving daughter, sister, aunt and cousin. Diane dearly loved, and was dearly loved by, her eight nieces and nephews born to her brother Joseph W. (Joe) McFarland and his wife MaryJane (“Molly”). She cherished her many cousins from the Storey, Wagner, Kemick and Monago families, including: Marilyn Vaglia, her late husband Roger, and their children Suzan and David; Frances Alain, her husband Michel, and their children Genevieve and Anne-Marie; Michael & Joan Kemick and their children Lori and Joseph; and many other cousins too numerous to mention. And she adored her aunt Toot, and cousin Maggie. Her brother Joe and her sister Patty could not have had a better sister, and her eight nieces and nephews could not have had a better aunt than Diane!

Diane was preceded in death by her parents Mickey & Stella McFarland, her brother Joe McFarland, and her sister Patty McFarland. She was also preceded in death by two nephews Peter McFarland and Christopher Rousseau.

A Mass of Christian Burial at St. Bernard Church with Rev. Raymond Gramata, pastor as Celebrant, will be announced in the immediate future.
