Norma Jean Crooks

Norma Jean Crooks, 88, formerly of 967 High Street, Bradford, passed away Monday, December 14, 2020 at Sena Kean Manor.

Born January 17, 1932 in Bradford, she was a daughter of the late John Jay and Margaret J. (White) Smith Sr. She was a 1950 graduate of Bradford Area High School.

On May 16, 1953 in Bradford, she married Boyd H. Crooks Jr. who preceded her in death on July 15, 2004.

Norma had been employed at the B & S, Case Cutlery and Bradford Chamber of Commerce.

She was a member of the Custer City United Methodist Church, and the Ecumenical Home Auxiliary, Class of 1950 Alumni and the BAHS alumni. She enjoyed her younger years camping with her husband and grandchildren and was a member of the Shasta club. She especially loved parades, square dancing and fireworks.

Surviving is one son David (Judith) Crooks, of Gifford, one daughter, Debra (Robert) Cutright, of Marietta OH, four grandchildren, Timothy (Stephanie) Crooks, Michael (Angie) Cutright, Lori (Bryan) Greenman, and Jillian (Shaun) Hansen, 11 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandson, two sisters, Ruth Keck, of Bradford, and Penny Mackey, of Duke Center, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother Jay J. Smith Jr. and one sister Sandy Warner.

Family and friends will be invited to attend a Celebration of Life at a later date and time to be announced. Burial will be in Willow Dale Cemetery. 

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc.

Memorial contributions if desired may be made to Sena Kean Manor in Smethport or a charity of the donor's choice.
